Cherry tomatoes
As the name suggests, cherry tomatoes are small, sweet-tasting, cherry-shaped tomatoes bred for easy eating and convenience. They deliver a burst of flavour as a snack, in salads or other savoury dishes.

The market for cherry tomatoes has boomed because hybrid varieties can be developed, trademarked, and marketed as a specific brand by produce companies.

They are an excellent source of the antioxidant lycopene which is thought to protect against strokes and may support bone health.
